My house in NH was lit very nicely by the moon on this October night in 1995. You can see that the lilac blossoms and changing foliage are exposed properly, while the house itself has gained a greenish cast from a combination of reciprocity failure and the color of the moon's light. The colors we are used to seeing in daytime are the colors created by reflection of the sun's light, the moon creates a slightly different color palette for our mind and camera to perceive. This shot took about 7 minutes to expose properly. |
